Abstract: design management is a new subject of industrial design, and its development is related to the progress of industrial design itself. By discussing the design management system, this paper preliminarily expounds the concept and key points of design management, as well as the development of design management based on high-tech conditions such as network and rapid prototyping, and establishes the overall framework of design management under high-tech conditions

industrial design is the product of industrial revolution. It was born in Germany in the 1920s, grew up in the United States in the 1930s, and rose worldwide in the 1960s. It has made historic contributions to the development of the world economy, social progress and the improvement of people's quality of life. However, with the rapid development of science and technology in today's society, the market is changing rapidly, and the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. The design in the traditional sense has gradually been unable to fully meet the development of enterprises and society. Due to the incompleteness of the enterprise's understanding of design, the disorder of design is caused. In these enterprises, design is usually regarded as a kind of scattered work for products, packaging, display or promotional materials, which has nothing to do with anything else in the enterprise. There is also a lack of communication among designers in different fields within the enterprise, and designers in various departments work with their own design concepts and methods. At the same time, with the intensification of economic globalization, how to make rational use of global design resources has also been put in front of people. So in this context, as design goes deep into all aspects of the enterprise, the combination between design and management becomes inevitable. For enterprises, design management is of high value. Only with good management can the strength and value of design be brought into play. Only with good design management can enterprises truly advance in the increasingly fierce market competition. at present, design management is a new discipline in the field of industrial design. Although this discipline has been paid more and more attention abroad, it has only achieved preliminary results. As for the domestic research on this subject, it has only just begun in recent years

in terms of the definition of design management, many people have different understandings of design management from different perspectives. To sum up, we can make a general understanding of design management: design management is a multidimensional management procedure that guides the overall cultural image of the enterprise. Design management is the realization of enterprise development strategy and business thought plan, and the highly unified carrier of visual image and technology. With development and design as the leading factor, the enterprise should correctly adjust its activities and organizational structure, create more and more specific forms of expression belonging to itself, and gradually form the image of enterprise technology and culture. Therefore, Design management refers to the management of a series of design strategies and design activities that are carried out in a planned and organized way according to the needs of users, effectively and actively mobilize the creative thinking of designers, transform the understanding of the market and consumers into new products, affect and change people's lives in a new, more reasonable and scientific way, and maximize profits for enterprises

3 design management mode under the condition of high and new technology

today, with the rapid development of modern science and technology, in order to meet the needs of the market, a large number of high and new technologies have been used in various industries, and the design management we discussed here is no exception. The application of information technology, network technology, rapid prototyping technology and other high and new technologies in the design management system makes the enterprise operation mode of design management get new development

3.1 design process management system (CAID) under high-tech conditions

design management under high-tech conditions is embodied as CAID. The entire CAID is a huge computer system (see Figure 1). The formation of this system mainly benefits from the rapid development of computer and its related technologies. The main goal of the system is to make rational use of all aspects of design resources to achieve innovative design; Make full use of all kinds of new technologies, new materials and new energy; Improve the traditional product design and manufacturing process, make full use of high-tech to achieve the networking and high efficiency of product design and manufacturing, realize the consistency of industrial design and engineering design, and finally realize the intelligent and integrated design management system with human centered and man-machine integration

The central link of CAID system is product design. The whole process of product design includes design conceptualization, design visualization and design commercialization, so that a product can be transformed from the initial concept to a product. Among them, the most important means is the computerization of design and manufacturing. Through the rational use of computer technology, the goal of product design can be achieved efficiently. When the product project is proposed, the designers make decisions and finalize the design through a large industrial design database, and then use computer-aided market analysis to obtain the expected market effect of the product. In this way, the conceptualization of design can be realized. The next step is the visualization of design, which is essentially the same as what we call traditional industrial design, but with the massive involvement of computers, the design process is more flexible and convenient. In this process, computer aided modeling technology, computer intelligent technology and other CAID high and new technologies are mainly used. The goal of product design is commodity. In the traditional product system, the commercialization of design is the task of the manufacturing department. However, for the CAID system, in order to test whether the product achieves the expected effect and facilitate the timely modification design of the product, the commercialization of design has become an indispensable part of the product design system. In this process, many high and new technologies have been applied, mainly including rapid prototyping technology, virtual reality technology, multimedia technology, network technology and so on. The application of these high and new technologies in the product design process has made a qualitative leap in the product design process from concept to final product finalization. No matter in terms of product launch time or product performance, CAID system enables enterprises to design and manufacture the best products in the shortest time, so as to win the market for enterprises and remain invincible in the face of fierce market competition for a long time

The reason is that the research and development of CAID system is still in its infancy, and there are still many aspects to be studied, mainly including: Research on modern design methods; Research on innovative design technology; The research of intelligent technology in the process of design management is also more convenient in local exhibitions; Research on concurrent engineering, coordinated engineering and full life cycle design technology in the process of design management; Research on human-computer interaction technology in the process of design management

3.2 integrated design management system based on Internet technology

with the promotion of high and new technology, the application of network technology in design management is becoming more and more prominent. Under the unified scheduling of the product design management center, all aspects of CAID are interrelated through the network to form a complex and orderly organic whole (see Figure 2). This is a typical pattern of concurrent design. It is under such a group network condition that the independence of each department in the traditional design can be completely broken, and the whole design and manufacturing system is completely in an orderly state of unified scheduling and collaborative work. With the cooperation of various departments, enterprises can adapt to the changes of customer needs, quickly respond to the market and develop marketable products as soon as possible

in this context, "virtual product development" (VPD) came into being. The foundation of VPD is integrated product and data management. The benefit of this integration is that all personnel in the product development process can quickly reuse and access the required information. The goal of VPD is to use computer simulation experiments to replace physical prototype tests as much as possible and reduce the time wasted in using physical prototypes.
