Qualcomm's US $3.1 billion acquisition of WiFi chip manufacturer Atheros

Qualcomm said in a statement that the transaction had been approved by the board of directors of Qualcomm and Atheros. If it goes well, the transaction will be completed during the first half of 2011. Atheros is famous for its Wi Fi high-speed wireless internet access chip.
